On the low threshold model the threshold is only 3” high, so you will have no more fear of falling as you get in or out of the tub. The average step-up in other walkin tubs is 6" to 8", far too high for many with limited mobility. Quality of Construction and Unique Design Features
The Olivia is constructed of Lucite® cast acrylic with built-in Microban® antimicrobial protection which inhibits the growth of bacteria that can cause stains and odors on the tub surface. The continuous antimicrobial protection makes the bathtub surface easier to clean and keeps it fresher between cleanings. Because the Microban is impregnated into the acrylic, it will never wash or wear off, and will last the life of your Walk-In Bathtub. The Olivia and Clarke's Passages™ are the only Walk-In Bathtubs made of Lucite® with Microban®
The entire tub is vacuum formed from one piece of acrylic to include the door casement. The Olivia and Passages™ are the only acrylic Walkin tubs with this key feature which has the advantage of eliminating the need to cut out the door and then fill the resulting space with materials that can cause leaks later in the life of the tub.
When the door is closed on other Walk-In tubs the gasket is compressed, and becomes oval rather than round. Eventually, the gasket loses its' elasticity, no longer forms an adequate water-tight barrier, must be removed, and replaced. Manufacturers of tubs with such seals suggest the door of the bathtub always be left open when you are not bathing to minimize the amount of time the gasket is compressed. In our experience, most people would rather close the door when the tub is not in use. Since The Olivia’s double door seals are not compressible, the door can safely be closed after each usage with no fear of damage or premature degradation.
Heavy-duty aluminum anchors inside the door add structural integrity and provide a stabilizing foundation for the door hinge. A steel support system is built into the door frame during manufacture. The door will support up to 500 pounds – which means that you can feel safe leaning on it when getting in and out of your walk in tub.
Additionally, the seals are screwed onto the aluminum frame, and are replaceable should they be damaged.
The entire front panel of The Olivia is removable for easy access to both the plumbing and mechanical components after installation. It is also insulated with environmentally sound thermal foam backed with reflective aluminum. This dramatically decreases noise from the hydrotherapy motors, and helps maintain water temperature at a comfortable level.
We have designed the totally unique seating area – The Comfort Seat (patent pending #3792958) - so that the knees are elevated 1.5” inches above the back of the platform of the seat which makes it virtually impossible to slip off the seat and gives the sensation of semi-reclining or being cradled in the seat. Additionally, there is built in lumbar support at the base of the back of the seat. The Olivia offers the most comfortable and secure seat of any Walk-In Bathtub on the market.
To further enhance the deep soaking experience, the overflow is placed as high up on the tub as is possible which provides 19.1” inches of water depth/ body immersion above the back of seat, and 18.5” above the knee area. This is by far the greatest water depth of any acrylic Walk-In tub. The average level of immersion above the seat of most Walkin bathtubs on the market is between 11" and 15". That means you only are submerged in water halfway up your torso. In The Olivia, virtually any size person can have water covering their shoulders.
The overflow drain control has a small nodule on the top that you push a half inch to either side to open and close the drain. No wrist motion whatsoever is required. For those with arthritis or an osteoporotic condition just turning one's wrist can be excruciating.
L-Shaped grab bar for safety and ease
The well area (space between the edge of the seat and the far wall of the tub) is 27” long, which not only enables most people to extend their legs when seated, but also provides more than ample room to comfortably stand up and take a shower without feeling cramped or confined. Also, the length of the well space coupled with the placement of the door hinges ensures that there is more than adequate clearance – 5” between the edge of the door and the pedestal of the seat - to open and close the door while seated.
There is a digital thermometer built into the bathtub that will display the temperature of the water beginning when the tub has filled to only 1.5” from the bottom.

Aero Spa
70 channel fed jets, placed 2 inches above the bottom of seat on the bathtub walls encircling the body, and in the well area. There are no hoses to malfunction, detach or develop air leaks as the channel supplying the air is permanently affixed to the bathtub, and then covered with fiberglass for durability.
Hydro Spa
8 directional water jets, each individually controlled. 4 on the walls of the seat, 4 on the pedestal of the seat to massage your calves, and 2 on the wall of the bathtub across from the seat to revitalize the soles of sore and tired feet.
